CLOVER COUNCIL
Clover Council is a decision-making council whose primary responsibility is to develop, review and adopt the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Clover Council reviews student performance data and school information to identify student needs and areas for improvement. For example, the Clover Council reviews the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) data, ELA, Math, budgetary, and school climate data. Clover Council is responsible for developing the Integrated Safe School Plan and also plays an integral role in organizing the hiring committee responsible for selecting new faculty and staff.
Who is on Clover Council?
Clover Council is composed of eight school staff members (i.e., the Principal, staff, and certificated teaching staff) and eight parent members. Elections are held annually to ensure Clover Council includes diverse perspectives and provides opportunities for new members of our community to participate.
What does the Clover Council Do?
Our main goal is to keep our students at the forefront of our decision-making and planning. As a council, we are responsible for communicating the ideas and thoughts of the broader school community, solving problems, and providing a space for our community to freely express their feelings and diverse points of view.
How can you participate in the Clover Council?
Remember, your support is integral to Clover’s continued success as one of the best schools in LAUSD! Therefore, everyone within the school community is invited to attend all meetings (see the Clover Calendar for upcoming meeting dates). We also encourage everyone to contribute their voices through Public Comments, which are provided at the beginning of each meeting.
If you would like to share a public comment, please email the request 30 minutes before the Clover Council Meeting. Please email your name only and do not submit your public comment in writing. Please email your request to share public comment to this email address: CloverSchCouncil@gmail.com
The first ten people who email the request will be allowed to share their public comment during the Clover Council meeting and once the Clover Council meeting begins. Each public comment will be given one minute. Please note that sharing during public comment is not for council members and only for the public.
