Room Parents
Duties
- Send out the class roster to all parents who consent to being on the roster (so parents may connect with other parents)
- Communicate class announcements to parents in a timely and friendly manner
- Find out what the teacher/classroom needs are and try to fulfill those needs (including: sending out teacher "wish list" to class parents, organizing holiday/teacher appreciation gifts for your teacher/classroom aide(s), organizing class events, finding volunteers for field trips, etc.)
- Recruit and encourage volunteers in your class to sign up for events
- Signing-up classroom volunteers for computer lab and art (younger grade levels)
- Attending Booster meetings (we ask that there be at least one of the co-room parents present)
